Our History
Martin Enterprises Heating & Air Conditioning was established in 1992 by Fred Martin Jr.’s father, continuing a long line of trusted family businesses in the community. As a fifth-generation business owner, Fred is very proud to operate out of the very building his great-grandfather purchased in 1925, a location that has been part of our family and local history for nearly a century. Our legacy of service stretches back generations, with family members serving the community as cheesemakers, barbers, hairdressers, and now HVAC professionals, always with a focus on honesty, reliability, and care.
Over the years, we have grown and evolved with the community, embracing modern HVAC technology while maintaining the personal, hands-on approach that has always defined our service. From heating and cooling installations to emergency repairs, our commitment has always been to provide professional, dependable solutions for our neighbors.

When my father, Fred Martin, started this company in 1992, he built it on a simple foundation of integrity, hard work, and treating people the right way. Those values still guide everything we do today. Over the years, Martin Enterprises Heating & Air Conditioning has grown into a multifaceted team that can handle the biggest commercial jobs and the smallest residential repairs, but we’ve stayed true to who we are. I like to tell people that our company is the perfect size. We’re large enough to respond quickly when you need us the most, but still small enough that you’ll get to know our technicians by name and feel that personal connection every time we visit your home or business.
I am genuinely proud of the service we provide and the team that stands behind our work. It is a privilege to continue the family business right here in Lake Zurich, where my family has lived since the late 1800s. Serving our neighbors, friends, and local businesses means more to me than I can express.
